20 Years of ReelTalk Movie Reviews
As editor and lead critic for ReelTalk Movie Reviews, I want to thank all our visitors and contributors to this website that means so much to me. Today is June 12, 2022, so that means ReelTalk has been active for over 20 years! Our first reviews were posted back in 2001 beginning as contributions to KOAA Online, a local NBC affiliate. And now, at this point in time, our reviews total over 9,000!
In addition to film reviews, over 3,000 feature articles have been posted on ReelTalk, including interviews with such stars and filmmakers as Tony Shalhoub, Morgan Freeman, Daryl Hannah, Antonio Banderas, Brad Silberling, David Spaltro, Rita Moreno, Philip Noyce, Willem Dafoe, Annette Bening, Barry Bostwick, Susan Sarandon, M.Night Shyamalan, John Sayles, Tilda Swinton, Dario Vero, Cloris Leachman, Alan Menken, Debbie Reynolds, Margaret Avery, Hector Elizondo, Henry Jaglom, David Worth, Fred Willard, Jason Stuart, Tanna Frederick, Stephen Simon, John Badham, and Kris Kristofferson.
Congratulations to our webmaster Mark Lubischer and to our talented critics for helping ReelTalk appeal to film fans throughout the world. These critics come from many different places. Just take a look at this diverse list: James Colt Harrison, Diana Saenger, Joanne Ross and Jeffrey Chen in California; Geoffrey Roberts and Ryan Cracknell in Canada; A.J. Hakari and Mack Bates in Wisconsin; Frank Wilkins in Texas; Richard Jack Smith, David Haviland and Ian Mantgani in the United Kingdom; Donald Levit; John P. McCarthy, Joshua Vasquez in New York. Our creative non-critic contributors include Misha Zubarev and V. Ulea in Pennsylvania plus Jacqueline Jung in California.
Our film critics belong to such groups as the Online Film Critics Society, the San Diego Film Critics Society, and the Dallas/Fort Worth Critics Association. All of our contributors have a writing style of their own, and it’s been a pleasure for me to work with them from my home in Colorado.
