Hopelessly addicted to film noir, Charles Pappas is a mild-mannered grandfather, but he admits to still being moderately dangerous. Clearly he loves cynical, dark movies about losers who seek the very thing that gets them killed. 

According to film critic Phil Hall, Pappas is “a smart, sharp observer of all things cinematic."
