All art forms converge in the movies, and that’s probably why I enjoy talking and writing about them so much. V. Ulea, a filmmaker whose artistry knows no bounds, has created two movies I particularly admire for their incorporation of several artistic elements. Happily,  Ulea has agreed to discuss these two films, About Angels, etc. and Four Funny Families, along with her ideas about filmmaking, on my “Movie Addict Headquarters” show scheduled for Tuesday, August 21. This show airs live on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time and will be available later as an archived segment.

I can hardly wait to ask Ulea about her short film, About Angels, etc. In this truly unique movie, Ulea combines ballet, myth, poetry, and the Bible into a very different and amusing story concerning the creation of Adam and Eve. I’m also eager to hear her thoughts on Four Funny Families, an unusual take on Anton Chekhov’s four major plays, Uncle Vanya, The Cherry Orchard, Three Sisters and The Seagull.

Because Ulea is a poet, author, teacher and scholar -- as well as a filmmaker -- she brings a wealth of intelligence, depth and humor to her projects, so be sure to tune in!
