Filmmaker Ben Cresciman and Sun Choke
by Betty Jo Tucker

On August 30, filmmaker Ben Cresciman drops by Movie Addict Headquarters to discuss Sun Choke, his new psychological thriller. A perfect melding of style and substance, Sun Choke has received rave reviews. This unique film, written and directed by Cresciman, stars Sarah Hagan as a young woman trying to get well and Barbara Crampton as her longtime nanny. When things go wrong with their relationship, the horrors begin. Cresciman, who grew up in Los Angeles, admits that director David Lynch and his Mulholland Drive have influenced his work.

After finishing his first film Negative Space, Cresciman was accepted into the USC screenwriting MFA program. Sun Choke is his second movie. During this episode, Cresciman has agreed to cover the following topics – and more:

Where he got the idea for Sun Choke.

His favorite scene in the movie.

How he worked with the cast members.

The most important challenge he faced in filming Sun Choke.

What he hoped to achieve with this movie.

His favorite film genre and why.

Ben Cresciman’s Movie Addict Headquarters interview airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
