Filmmaker Misha Zubarev & It Had To Be Us
by
On August 12, Misha Zubarev returns to Movie Addict Headquarters to discuss his diverse experience as a filmmaker and to bring listeners up to date on the It Had To Be Us movie project. Denise Cassino, publisher of It Had To Be Us, also returns to explain her plans for introducing new readers to this award-winning romantic memoir. Film historian James Colt Harrison will co-host. Diana Saenger, founder of Classic Movie Guide, also plans to call in.
Not content to focus on one filmmaking area, Misha has worked as a camera operator, videographer, lighting assistant, producer, production assistant, cinematographer, editor, script supervisor, actor and director. He has been involved in various capacities on such movies as: Four Funny Families; Loneliness; Annapolis; Shooter; and Synedoche, New York. Misha’s film 18 and Out was chosen to be included in NBC’s The Screening Room. He also directed an award-winning TV series titled “The Wisdom Tree” and was highlighted in MovieMaker Magazine.
After reading It Had To Be Us by Harry & Elizabeth Lawrence, Misha fell in love with the story and its movie potential. He has completed the screenplay adaptation and plans to direct the film. The two stars he had in mind while writing the screenplay have already read it and indicated their interest in playing the lead roles.
Denise Cassino heads up the Long Story Short Publishing Company and also offers impressive promotional services through her Wizardly Web Designs site. As the publisher of the Kindle Ebook version of It Had To Be Us, she organized a launch for the book four years ago. That launch resulted in the romantic memoir zooming to #1 on the Amazon Kindle Best-Seller List in one category. Now, to introduce new readers to It Had To Be Us, Denise has created an Anniversary Re-Launch, complete with the same bonus items from the original launch. For more information, click here.
Film historian James Colt Harrison Harrison, a founding member of the San Diego Film Critics Society, has written a history of Hollywood studios and contributes film commentary to Classic Movie Guide and Review Express.
