Award-winning filmmaker David Spaltro and noted film critic Marilyn Ferdinand return to Movie Addict HQ on February 11th to talk about romantic movies that have won a Best Picture Oscar. The following films qualify for this pre-Valentine’s Day discussion: It Happened One Night, The English Patient, Shakespeare in Love, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, An American in Paris, Gigi, The Apartment, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Annie Hall, Out of Africa, The Artist, Marty, Titanic and Slumdog Millionaire.
David and Marilyn are knowledgeable and entertaining guests who have a passion for film. David’s independent movie, Things I Don’t Understand, earned numerous awards on the film festival circuit and includes an unusual love story treated with sensitivity by this talented director. Marilyn operates Ferdy on Films, which was named a Best World Cinema Blog of 2011. She also loves a good cause and works with Farran Nehmes (The Self-Styled Siren) in hosting annual Blogathons to support worthy film projects.
