Wolverine Returns

On July 9, Movie Addict HQ presents a revealing preview of the upcoming Wolverine film and a lively discussion of Hugh Jackman’s other movies. Veteran actor Stephen Bauer has also been invited to call-in with an update of his exciting new projects. Film buffs Jazz Shaw and Fausta Rodriguez Wertz join in the fun!
Jackman returns as Logan/Wolverine for the sixth time in The Wolverine, scheduled for wide release on July 26. His character journeys to Japan where he battles ninjas and yakusas. In this latest outing, Wolverine gets pushed to his physical and emotional limits as he struggles with his immortality and faces “a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed.”
Although probably known best for his “Wolverine” role in the X-Men movies, this talented Australian actor boasts numerous films and TV shows to his credit, plus he’s also garnered acclaim for his outstanding performances in stage musicals, even winning a Tony for The Boy from Oz. And don’t forget Jackman’s Emmy -- which he earned for his entertaining turn as host of the Tony Awards. Jackman won additional fans with his rousing stint as host of the Academy Awards in 2009. An Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win for his emotional portrayal of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables last year have served to increase his popularity. Jackman is currently working on the big screen version of The Greatest Showman on Earth, a musical about P.T. Barnum.
Cuban-born actor Steven Bauer boasts over 100 films and television appearances to his credit. Included among his many movies are films like Scarface, Traffic, The Lost City, Thief of Hearts, Primal Fear and One in the Gun. His television work includes such diverse shows as Burn Notice, The Rockford Files, Breaking Bad and Ray Donovan. Bauer’s upcoming films include Cage of Glory, Last I Heard and The Lookalike. Bauer studied acting with the famous Stella Adler and received two Golden Globe nominations -- one for his dynamic performance in Scarface and the other for his outstanding work on TV's Drug Wars: The Camarena Story. He also won a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the Acting Ensemble for Traffic.
