Movie Addict Headquarters presents a special pre-Valentine’s Day episode on February 12th focusing on romantic films reviewed in “It Had To Be Us,” an award-winning romantic memoir by Harry and Elizabeth Lawrence. Filmmaker Misha Zubarev, publisher Denise Cassino, Movie Mom Nell Minow and comedian Nancy Lombardo have been invited to join the discussion, and a book giveaway is also scheduled. Movies to be covered include such films as Return to Me, Love Actually, Tristan and Isolde, Music and Lyrics, Beyond Borders, The Fountain, and Moulin Rouge!
Zubarev, the talented filmmaker who created the lovely Sizzle Reel for “It Had To Be Us,” displays a passion for the visual arts that’s evident in the many jobs he’s taken on for film and television projects. Not content to focus one area, his background includes work as a camera operator, videographer, lighting assistant, producer, production assistant, cinematographer, editor, script supervisor, actor and director. Zubarev has been involved in various capacities on such movies and TV shows as: 18 and Out; Four Funny Families; The Wisdom Tree; Loneliness; Annapolis; Shooter; Synecdoche, New York; About Angels, etc. “For me, the most rewarding part of filmmaking is telling stories that have meaning and can play a part in influencing the way people see, feel and think about the past, present and future,” Zubarev reports on his website.
Cassino heads up Long Story Short Publishing, the company that published the extended Kindle version of “It Had To Be Us.” She’s also an avid movie fan with many other irons in the fire, including Wizardly Web Designs and Bestseller Services. Her successful Amazon book launches have helped many authors, which is why she’s referred to as “O Wizardly One” by yours truly.
Minow, the famous Movie Mom, is the author of 101 Must See Movie Moments and several other books. She writes film commentary for BeliefNet.com, and her book, The Movie Mom’s Guide to Family Movies, has helped parents everywhere select safe and fun entertainment for their children. Thanks to Minow for granting permission to use the title of her “It Had To Be Us” review as this MAHQ episode title.
Lombardo, hosts the popular Comedy Concepts show on BlogTalkRadio and has performed her unique comedy from coast to coast. She’s been featured as a writer and performer on radio, network and cable television, including Comedy Tonight, Nickelodeon and the Comedy Channel.
“A Romance with Movies” airs live on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
