Great Movie Gifts
by
Movie Mom Nell Minow and Mad Movie Man A.J. Hakari drop by Movie Addict HQ on December 4th to offer suggestions about great movie gifts and to give listeners a peek at the most promising holiday films this year. Nell and A.J. are a dynamic duo, so this should be a helpful and entertaining episode, especially if you have movie fans on your holiday shopping list.
Nell is the author of 101 Must See Movie Moments and several other books. She writes film commentary for BeliefNet.com and has been featured in The Chicago Sun-Times, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Parents, Family Fun and other publications. She has been profiled by The New York Times, The Economist, Forbes, The Chicago Tribune and Ladies Home Journal. Her book, The Movie Mom’s Guide to Family Movies, has helped parents everywhere select safe and fun entertainment for their children. On the Beliefnet channel, Nell provides reviews, quizzes, tips and advice about which movies, DVDs, television programs and Internet sites are most appropriate for children of varying ages.
A.J. has contributed movie reviews for numerous sites including Classic Movie Guide, ReelTalk Movie Reviews, Review Express and Terror Tube. He founded Passport Cinema, a site devoted strictly to foreign language films, and recently created a popular new blog called Cinesplice. He also finds time to perform diverse roles in various live theater productions.
It should be interesting to hear if Nell and A.J. come up with similar suggestions about the best holiday gifts for movie fans. These two noted critics, who have been on Movie Addict Headquarters together many times before, frequently disagree about movies and are not shy about saying so. And which upcoming holiday films will they pick as most promising? Ah, that’s another topic brimming with spirited discussion possibilities!
“Great Movie Gifts” airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archives segment will also be available.
