Barry Bostwick & Rocky Horror Picture Show
by
On October 11, Movie Addict Headquarters starts getting ready for Halloween by revisiting Barry Bostwick’s popular interview about The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Bostwick portrayed “Brad” in this 1975 horror/musical that became a cult film. During his impressive acting career, this multi-talented actor has appeared in over 100 films and television productions.
Bostwick may be best-known as the clueless mayor on Spin City. However, he’s a triple-threat entertainer -- singer, dancer, actor -- who created the role of Danny Zuko in Grease on Broadway and won a Tony for his work in The Robber Bridegroom. He’s appeared in such TV programs as Cougar Town, Glee, Scrubs, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Las Vegas, and the mini-series George Washington (playing the title character). Bostwick earned a Golden Globe as Best Supporting Actor in the War and Remembrance miniseries and has been a frequent host of PBS’s A Capitol Fourth.
Among Bostwick’s numerous movies are: Movie Movie; Hannah Montana: The Movie; Nancy Drew; Megaforce; 101 Dalmatians II; Spy Hard; Evening, and Swing. He has the following upcoming films completed or in post-production: Finding Joy; The Selling; Home Run Showdown; Some Guy Who Kills People, and FDR: American Badass! (in which he plays Franklin Delano Roosevelt).
In 2004, Bostwick -- a prostate cancer survivor -- was awarded the Gilda Radner Courage Award from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
