Preserving Films & Movie Memories
by
Margaret Bodde, Executive Director of The Film Foundation, will join Movie Addict Headquarters on August 2 to explain the goals and projects of this worthy non-profit group founded by Martin Scorsese. I will be donating my author’s royalties for the Kindle edition of CONFESSIONS OF A MOVIE ADDICT to The Film Foundation, so I’m very happy to spend time on our BlogTalkRadio show in raising awareness about the importance of these film preservation activities.
The Film Foundation has been instrumental in helping to preserve over 500 movies. In addition, the group’s “The Story of Movies” project exposes future generations to classic cinema through an interdisciplinary curriculum distributed to over 30,000 schools across the country.
Because August 2 is also the kick-off date for the Kindle launch of my “life story with everything but the movie stuff edited out,” several people who’ve been instrumental in the success of the original release will also be on board to help celebrate this occasion. The guest list includes:
Warren Epstein, Arts & Culture Editor for the Colorado Springs Gazette
James Colt Harrison, Film Historian
Nancy Lombardo, Comedian and BTR Host
Diana Saenger, Entertainment Journalist
Denise Cassino, Book Publicist
This special episode airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, August 2. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
