Disneyland Memories
by
Stephen Schochet, author of Fascinating Walt Disney and Hollywood Stories: Short, Entertaining Anecdotes about the Stars and Legends of Hollywood, drops by Movie Addict Headquarters on July 5th to help celebrate the 56th anniversary of the opening of Disneyland. As a Hollywood tour guide, Stephen began doing research years ago in order to tell colorful tales about Tinseltown to his customers -- and most of these tales are included in his entertaining books. Stephen also hosts a syndicated one minute radio feature called Hollywood Stories.
During this special episode, Stephen will discuss such topics as:
● where Walt got the idea for Disneyland
● why Disneyland meant more to Walt than his movies
● initial planning and some of the exciting Disneyland rides
● how Walt made Disneyland different from other amusement parks
● Disneyland’s disastrous opening day
● what worked and didn’t work at Disneyland
● Walt’s personal tours to famous people at Disneyland
This should be a fun show!
