Phil Hall 'Uncorked'
by
Actor/writer/film critic Phil Hall returns to Movie Addict Headquarters on March 15th for a discussion about his exciting new projects including: Uncorked, a movie he wrote and stars in; What If They Lived? Hollywood’s Lost Stars and the Futures They Never Had, a book he co-authored with Rory Aronsky; and the upcoming New England Underground Film Festival.
In Uncorked, Hall plays an inebriated park-bench philosopher who discovers the presence of a camera crew and offers them a drink from his liquor bottle, then proceeds to explain his bizarre philosophy and lifestyle. The entire movie consists of one long, entertaining monologue – and Hall does a great job as this disheveled character with a lot on his mind.
Hall has also appeared in such movies as London Betty, Bikini Bloodbath Car Wash, Abduction, My Mouth Lies Screaming and The Land of College Prophets.
In What If They Lived? Hall and his co-author speculate on what might have happened if fate had been kinder to stars like Rudolph Valentino, Will Rogers, Jean Harlow, James Dean, Judy Garland, Heath Ledger and Natasha Richardson -- who all died before fulfilling their career destinies.
Outside of acting, Phil Hall is a contributing editor for the influential Film Threat and is the author of The Encyclopedia of Underground Movies, Independent Film Distribution, The New PR, and The History of Independent Cinema. Hall is also a member of the Governing Committee of the Online Film Critics Society.
Phil Hall’s interview airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, March 15th. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
