Oscar Tales
by
Stephen Schochet, author of Hollywood Stories: Short, Entertaining Anecdotes about the Stars and Legends of Hollywood, promises to regale listeners with some fascinating Oscar tales from his popular book during the January 25th Movie Addict Headquarters show. With Oscar nominations scheduled to be announced on the same morning, this will be a timely episode.
Where did Oscar’s name come from? How did the Academy Awards get started? Why did Marlon Brando refuse his Godfather Oscar? On Gone with the Wind, who was the secret acting coach? Stephen will answer those questions as well as many others about Oscar-winning stars and films. This show is a must-hear for movie addicts!
As a Hollywood tour guide, Stephen began doing research years ago in order to tell colorful tales about Tinseltown to his customers -- and most of these tales are included in his entertaining book.
Stephen also hosts a syndicated one minute radio feature called Hollywood Stories and is the author and narrator of two audio books, Tales of Hollywood and Fascinating Walt Disney.
This “Oscar Tales” episode starring Stephen Schochet airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, January 25.
