Actress Christine Evangelista will visit Movie Addict Headquarters on Tuesday, June 1st, to discuss her starring role in Goodbye Baby, which is scheduled for DVD release on that same day! Christine plays a young woman who struggles to become a successful standup comic – a difficult profession for ladies of any age. Her character faces many obstacles, but she sticks to her guns, and this revealing movie shows how one very pretty girl proves women can be just as funny as men – and sometimes, even funnier. This show kicks off a salute to the “Funny Ladies of Showbiz” by Movie Addict Headquarters during the month of June.   

Christine’s film career includes such movies as The Good Guy, Arranged: The Musical, and The 9th Circle. Most recently, she was a supporting lead in The Joneses, co-starring Demi Moore and David Duchovny. Christine will soon be seen with Robert Loggia in Harvest and in Once More with Feeling, directed by Jeff Lipsky.   

Bitten by the acting bug as a child, Christine started her career performing at the City Lights Youth Theatre in productions of Rags and West Side Story which allowed her to show off both her singing and dancing abilities. Because of her impressive commitment and skills, she was eventually granted a position on their Youth Board of Directors and then went on to study at the prestigious Herbert Berghof School of Acting, where at the age of 17 she performed in their Young Playwrights Festival production of The Less Than Human Club. 

Christine broke into television guest starring on such shows as Conviction, Law and Order, Third Watch, SVU and as a recurring regular on the SPIKE TV/LIONSGATE series Killpoint with John Leguizamo. After earning the lead role in Goodbye Baby, she researched her part as a standup comic by doing improv at open mike nights at comedy clubs in New York City.
