From turning heads on a top TV game show to working with A-list talent in Iron Man 2, actress Anya Monzikova proves she is one of the industry’s most captivating new talents. During a May 11th interview on Movie Addict Headquarters, Anya will talk about her acting career and goals. Widely recognizable because of her stint as the lovely model next to briefcase #10 on Deal or No Deal and her memorable appearance in the Bruce Willis thriller Surrogates, Anya is also skilled in martial arts.   

Born in Russia and raised in Florida from the age of eight, Anya studied theatre and film in high school and college, and began modeling as a way to enter the industry. Photo spreads in Maxim and Stuff have helped her obtain steady work in dramatic television and motion pictures. Anya’s TV credits include such shows as  Medium, CSI, Knight Rider and Life. In addition to Iron Man 2 and Surrogates, Anya has appeared in the following films: Playing with Fire, Tropic Thunder and Gigi, a short comedy. 

In Iron Man 2, Anya worked on a climactic scene with Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Scarlett Johansson, who relied on Anya’s native Russian skills “to perform her lines to perfection at the behest of director Jon Favreau.”  With an eye on landing more parts in action films, the Wushu-trained martial artist hopes to do roles where she can perform her own stunts and showcase her sword technique. Anya, who would also like to work behind the camera, is developing short projects as a writer and director.  Having come all the way from Vologda, Russia, to the big-time in Hollywood, Anya seems poised to make the rest of her dreams come true.
