Kherington Payne Interview
by
Dynamic dancer Kherington Payne will visit Movie Addict Headquarters on Tuesday, September 22, to discuss her experience as one of the talented young stars in Fame, an update of the popular 1980 movie. Kherington wowed So You Think You Can Dance fans with her versatile and exuberant performances during season four in 2008. She’s on the cover of the September 2009 issue of DANCE magazine, joined other Fame cast members as presenters at a recent VH1 Diva event, and will be seen in Leading Ladies, a movie scheduled for release in 2010.
The lovely and photogenic Kherington plays Alice in Fame, which also features such well-known names as Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Neuwirth, Debbie Allen, Charles S. Dutton and Megan Mullally. The movie centers on a group of extremely gifted students at the New York Academy of Performing Arts.
“Dance is Alice’s life,” Kherington explains, so she probably had no problem identifying with the character she portrays in this new musical.
Fame, directed by Kevin Tanchereon, opens nationwide on Friday, September 25, 2009.
Listen to Kherington’s interview on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on September 22. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
