by
On the next Movie Addict Headquarters show, Sally Kirkland talks about her distinguished acting career and is joined by Rosemary Gore for a discussion concerning Oak Hill, their recent award-winning indie film.
Kirkland, an Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe winning actress for Anna, has appeared in over 150 films and television shows. Her credits include such diverse films as Private Benjamin, EdTV, Off the Black, The Sting, The Way We Were and Bruce Almighty. Her TV credits include such series as Valley of the Dolls, Days of Our Lives and -- currently -- Head Case on Starz. Sally is also an ordained minister and an acting instructor. She was honored with a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005 at the L.A. Femme Film Festival.
Gore has earned many fans for her depiction of Alice Walker in the horror trilogy: Fear of the Dark, The Tenement and The Sins of Their Fathers. Her other films include Baby Doll, Oil and Water, Soulmates, The Bar, Alibi, Hellraiser III and Marilyn Monroe Was Here.
Oak Hill tells the story of troubled women who meet each other while seeking help in a shelter house. Kirkland plays a once famous actress who was quite something in her glory days, and Gore portrays a stand-up comic hiding behind jokes to deal with her emotional pain.
This BlogTalkRadio show airs on Tuesday, April 21, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time). During the live show, listeners are invited to participate in a Chat. An archived segment will also be available.
