Aliens Vs. Monsters Debate
by
Which film creatures are the most entertaining -- monsters or aliens? Piggybacking on the recent box office success of Monsters Vs. Aliens, this earthshaking question will be debated by Mad Movie Man A.J. Hakari and Movie Mom Nell Minow on the next “Movie Addict Headquarters” show. Evidence to be examined includes such additional films as The Day the Earth Stood Still, Alien, Frankenstein, Godzilla, The War of the Worlds, The Mummy, E.T. The Extaterrestrial and Monsters, Inc. My co-host Jazz Shaw, our producer Nikki Starr and I also plan to chime in with our opinions.
Writing as “The Movie Mom,” Minow has been featured in The Chicago Sun-Times, USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, Parents, Family Fun and other publications. She has been profiled by The New York Times, The Economist, Forbes, The Chicago Tribune and Ladies Home Journal. Her book, The Movie Mom’s Guide to Family Movies, has helped parents everywhere select safe and fun entertainment for their children. On the Beliefnet channel, Minow provides reviews, quizzes, tips and advice about which movies, DVDs, television programs and Internet sites are most appropriate for children of varying ages.
Hakari, The Mad Movie Man, serves as horror expert for ReelTalk Movie Reviews and recently signed on as DVD correspondent for Movie Addict Headquarters. He also writes film reviews on such sites as Terror Tube and Classic Movie Guide. In addition, Hakari operates Passport Cinema, a site devoted strictly to foreign language films.
