Cloris Leachman Update
by
Cloris Leachman, an Oscar and Emmy-winning actress with over 200 movies and television appearances to her credit, plans to visit “Movie Addict Headquarters” to talk about her longstanding acting career plus her selection as a special guest at the upcoming Robert Osborne Classic Film Festival. Of course, with Cloris, there could be some surprises – and that’s what makes her so much fun!
Among Cloris Leachman’s numerous memorable films are three of my favorites: The Last Picture Show (which earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar), Young Frankenstein and High Anxiety. More recently, she stole the show from Meg Ryan and Annette Bening in The Women. Her television career is equally remarkable -- even without considering her sensational appearance on Dancing with the Stars last year. Cloris has won nine Emmys for her brilliant work in such shows as Malcolm in the Middle, Mary Tyler Moore, Promised Land and A Brand New Life.
In 2003, Cloris received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the California Independent Film Fest. Her extensive resume is certainly impressive! In addition to her many acting awards, Cloris also won he title of “Miss Chicago” in the 1946 Miss America beauty contest.
What's coming up for Cloris? Included among various exciting projects are an appearance at Robert Osborne’s Classic Film Festival from March 19 – March 22 and two new films scheduled for release during 2009: American Cowslip with Val Kilmer and Rip Torn, and Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Bastards with Brad Pitt, Samuel L. Jackson and Mike Myers.
Cloris Leachman’s live BlogTalkRadio interview will be scheduled on "Movie Addict Headquarters" in the near future. As soon as the date has been set, an announcement will be made here on ReelTalk.
It should be a fun show!
