Fred Willard, considered by Jay Leno as “the funniest man in the world,” will be interviewed on our February 24th Movie Addict Headquarters show. He plans to discuss his upcoming stint as co-host of the Robert Osborne Classic Film Festival plus his extensive acting experience in such movies as Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman and For Your Consideration. Appearing in almost 200 films and television shows, this talented comedian is known for his quick wit and improvisational skill. Willard and his wife Mary, a playwright, offer weekly sketch comedy workshops as part of their MoHo Group. 

Who can forget Willard’s clueless sports commentator in Best in Show? Or his show-biz wannabe singing “Midnight at the Oasis” in Waiting for Guffman?  Or his gossipy talk-show host in For Your Consideration (which is one of this year's Robert Osborne Classic Film Fest selections)?  And on TV, Willard has given viewers memorable characters in numerous series, including Back to You, Fernwood 2Night, King of the Hill, MadTV, Everybody Loves Raymond and Saturday Night Live. His live theater one-man show, Fred Willard: Alone at Last, won two Los Angeles Director Awards (Best Comedy and Best Production).

Willard’s interview is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time (4 p.m. Eastern Time) on BlogTalkRadio. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in or to participate in a chat. The call-in number is 646-478-5668. An archived segment will also be available.

This should be a fun show!  I’m looking forward to it -- as are Jazz Shaw, my co-host, and Nikki Starr, our producer. There’s only one problem -- during my last talk with Willard, he made me laugh so hard I had difficulty conducting the interview. I’ll try to be more professional this time.
