More than 200 aircraft plunged onto and around the islands of Palau during WWII, with nearly half of their crew still listed as Missing in Action today. Last Flight Home, a powerful new documentary, focuses on the altruistic efforts of Dr. Patrick Scannon and his team of volunteers as they try to locate, identify and recover the remains of these American MIAs.
On Veterans Day, November 11, producer/directors Daniel T. O’Brien and Jennifer Powers will visit BlogTalkRadio’s "Movie Addict Headquarters" to discuss their moving film. O'Brien has served as a stunt performer for films such as Stealth, Minority Report and Spider-Man as well as television shows including Ally McBeal, Greatest Stunts, Wide World of Sports and Superbowl XIV. He also serves as a skydiver and event organizer around the world for events such as the Team ‘06: FAI Official World’s largest skydiving formation (400 skydivers, 30 nations) and the 24th Olympiad, Olympic Opening Ceremonies in Seoul, Republic of Korea. O'Brien and fellow producer /director Jennifer Powers have over 15,000 skydives and dozens of world records between them.
Also in honor of Veterans Day, film critic John P. McCarthy will join host Betty Jo Tucker and producer Nikki Starr in a discussion of favorite war movies. McCarthy is the editor of Cineman Syndicate and regular contributor to ReelTalkReviews.com.
