While writing The Citizen Kane Crash Course in Cinematography: A Wildly Fictional Account of How Orson Welles Learned Everything about the Art of Cinematography in Half an Hour, David Worth let his imagination run wild, which resulted in one of the most informative and entertaining books about filmmaking I’ve ever read. David is eminently qualified to author a book on this subject. He has worked on more than thirty feature films as both a director and a director of photography. He was the DP on two features for Clint Eastwood, Bronco Billy and Any Which Way You Can, before moving into directing and working in those capacities in all corners of the world including Hong Kong, Israel, Cape Town and Bulgaria..

As the DP on Bloodsport and the director of Kickboxer, David helped launch the career of Jean-Claude Van Damme. He served as director and cinematographer for the thrillers Time Lapse starring Roy Scheider and The Prophet’s Game with Dennis Hopper. He has also taught at UCLA and directed television episodes.  

Most recently, David directed and photographed the micro-budget features, House at the End of the Drive and Honor, using the SONY 900 HD camera. While writing and teaching part time at The Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and The School of Cinematic Arts at USC, David continues to pursue international filmmaking projects.
