Hooray for Independent Films!
by
I’m very pleased to announce that film critic and author Phil Hall will visit my “Movie Addict Headquarters” show on BlogTalkRadio on Tuesday, July 10, to discuss the world of independent movies. This show will air at 4 p.m. EST, and can be accessed later as an archived segment.
Hall, a contributing editor for Film Threat, is also the book editor for the New York Resident weekly newspaper and serves on the Governing Committee of the Online Film Critics’ Society (OFCS). He has written two books about independent films, The Encyclopedia of Underground Movies and Independent Film Distribution: How To Make a Successful End Run Around the Big Guys.
Topics to be covered by Hall during the July 10th show include his favorite indie movies, why he admires indie filmmakers, how these filmmakers get attention for their movies, and tips on where to find independent films.
In addition to his work with Film Threat, Hall’s film journalism has appeared in the New York Times, New York City News, Wired Magazine, Hot/Wired.com, American Movie Classics Magazine, Video Librarian, Tower Records Pulse! Magazine and the Organica Quarterly.
ReelTalkers who would like to hear my discussion with Phil Hall should go to the “Movie Addict Headquarters” website by clicking here. I think it's going to be an enlightening and entertaining show.
