Wannabe bikers, comic figure skaters, a sea monster, Spartan heroes, a spoiled playboy, ninja turtles, a swimming coach, obsessed reporters, a religious bluesman, kids with magical powers -- all play key roles in some of the movies scheduled for release this March (2007). Take a look at the month's lineup below.

March 2:

Wild Hogs. John Travolta, Tim Allen, William H. Macy and Martin Lawrence play wannabe bikers whose road trip turns comically dangerous.

Black Snake Moan. Samuel L. Jackson gets sexy with Christina Ricci in this controversial romance between a religious bluesman and a wild young woman. No, it’s not a remake of God’s Little Acre, but it looks almost as intriguing. (Moved from February.)

Zodiac. This film about the real-life serial killer who terrorized San Francisco back in the 1960s and 1970s features an excellent cast including Jake Gyllenhaal   and Robert Downey Jr. as journalists obsessed with the case.   

Full of It.  Ryan Pinkston takes on the part of a youngster who’s forced to live out the lies he’s told. Don’t try this at home.

March 9:

300. Action-adventure should fill the screen in this re-imagining of the historic Battle of Thermopylae (circa 480 B.C.). Hunky Gerard Butler plays Leonidas, King of Sparta. Be prepared for lots of shouting.

The Ultimate Gift. In this inspirational film, James Garner portrays a grandfather who leaves his playboy grandson (Drew Fuller) a mysterious inheritance to teach him important life lessons. Abigail Breslin, of Little Miss Sunshine fame, steals the movie as the only person agreeing to be the spoiled grandson’s friend.

The Namesake. Cultures clash when the son of Indian immigrants (Kal Penn) tries to fit in with his Boston friends.  

The Host. A monster attacks Seoul, Korea. No, it's not Kim Jong-il.

March 16:

Premonition. Sandra Bullock plays a woman whose husband died in a car crash but is alive again the next day in this suspense thriller also starring Julian McMahon.

Shooter.  When a marksman living in exile (portrayed by Mark Wahlberg), hears about a plot to kill the president, he goes back into action. Unfortunately, he’s framed for the attempt himself and must find the real assassin.

I Think I Love My Wife. Funnyman Chris Rock is tempted to stray from his marital vows by the ex-mistress of his friend. Lovely Kerry Washington and gorgeous Gina Torres also appear in this spirited romantic comedy.

Dead Silence. Donnie Wahlberg portrays a detective in this horror thriller about a widower who returns to his hometown in hopes of finding answers regarding his wife's murder.

March 23:

Reign Over Me.  Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler play old college roommates who rekindle their friendship after Sandler’s character loses his family in the September 11 attack on New York City. Don’t expect comedy from Sandler here. This one looks like heavy drama indeed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo seem out of it now. They have no sense of direction, so Leonardo and Zen Master Splinter must get them back in shape to deal with strange things happening in New York City. The Turtles in an animation fantasy?  I can hardly wait to see it!    

Pride. This sports drama stars the always wonderful Terrence Howard as a man who starts a swim team for troubled teens in Philadelphia.

The Last Mimzy.  A brother and sister develop strange powers after finding a mysterious box of toys. Is it up to these little tykes to save the world? Not before their nap time, I hope.

The Hills Have Eyes II. National Guard trainees battle mutants in the desert -- and it's not a pretty sight.  

March 30:

Blades of Glory. Will Ferrell and Jon Heder co-star as figure skaters banned from competition who discover a loophole in the rules, one enabling them to skate in the pairs division. Spills and laughs are sure to ensue.

Meet the Robinsons. In this animated fantasy, a young inventor travels to the future to find his birth mother so they can become a family, but unexpected twists and turns await the lad during his sci-fi adventure. 

Rescue Dawn. Based on a true story, this film is about a U.S. fighter pilot, played by Christian Bale from Batman Begins, who was captured in Laos during the Vietnam War and organized an escape for a group of POWs.

Skinwalkers. Werewolves at war terrorize a young boy and his mother in this March horror offering.
