Actor/comedian Jamie Kennedy’s lifelong dream is to become a world famous rapper. Stu Stone, Jamie’s best friend, shares the same ambition in Jamie Kennedy's Blowin' Up -- The Complete First Season, a humorous reality series just released on DVD.

The pair have recorded several tracks on their own for a comedic rap album they hoped to release with the support of Jamie’s agents and his business manager Pam Kohl. During a meeting to be held that afternoon, Jamie intends to tell Pam and his handlers that he is leaving acting for a career in music. With Stu as his sidekick, Jamie plans to become a comedic rapper and get signed to a major label. 

The only acting projects Jamie wants to pursue are those he either wrote, produced and/or developed himself -- such as Malibu's Most Wanted and The  Jamie Kennedy Experiment, a show that made him famous.

Following the poor performance of his last film, Son of the Mask, Jamie has had trouble securing film and television work. He's not enthused now about the only acting project offered to him, a feature comedy with a premise he thinks is beyond stupid. He wants no part of the production, especially after a slew of actors including Burt Reynolds have turned down lead and supporting roles in the project.

Pam thinks Jamie called a meeting to sign the contract and will work on the film. Instead, Jamie leaves her and his agents speechless after making his real plans known. Stu, who tagged along for moral support, blames Pam for never listening to Kennedy and for trying to ruin the actor's career by pressuring him to take a role in a movie that seems to be in the same vein as Son of the Mask. 

According to Stu, Pam and Jamie’s handlers never allowed Jamie to write, produce, and or develop his own material after appearing in Malibu's Most Wanted and The Jamie Kennedy Experiment. If Jamie’s handlers won’t support his musical endeavors, Stu says he and Jamie will become a successful rap duo signed to a major label on their own. 

The pair meet with Burt Bakman, a real-estate agent who says he has lots of contacts in the recording industry. Bakman refuses to divulge how he can help them get a record deal. He just knows “people who know other people who are looking for this kind of talent.”

Jamie reluctantly calls Pam to arrange an interview with rapper Method Man, who recommends that Jamie and Stu approach a celebrity to do a guest appearance on a track that will get the record industry buzzing. 

Following this suggestion, Jamie convinces Bob Saget to appear on a track entitled “Rollin’ With Saget.” But is it enough to win a record deal for himself and Stu? Will Jamie be able to heal the rift with his handlers?
