Rita Moreno and Robert Osborne On Demand
by Betty Jo Tucker

Movie Addict HQ presents an interview with Oscar winner Rita Moreno and the late great TCM host Robert Osborne as the ON DEMAND episode during the week of May 22 – May 29. During this fascinating episode, Rita and Robert talk about the Singin’ in the Rain 60th Anniversary, and Rita shares revealing details about her acting career as well as many of her other awards and showbiz accomplishments. Because Rita and Robert hadn’t met each other before, they definitely make the most of their time together here. Listeners can hear this lively show at any time during the week by clicking on the link at the end of this article.

Rita’s Oscar statuette never gets lonely, for the acclaimed actress also has a Golden Globe, a Grammy, a Tony, and two Emmys. No wonder the Screen Actors Guild chose her for a Lifetime Achievement Award! She’s a versatile artist who can sing, dance, and do comedy and drama equally well. The Internet Movie Data Base lists over 140 film and TV acting credits for Rita. In addition to West Side Story and Singin’ in the Rain, she’s appeared in such films as The King and I, Carnal Knowledge, Marlowe, The Four Seasons, Pagan Love Song, The Ritz, Blue Moon, The Toast of New Orleans, Angus, and King of the Corner. She’s been in numerous popular television shows, and won Emmys for her outstanding work on The Muppet Show and The Rockford Files. Her autobiography Rita Moreno: A Memoir received rave reviews.

Also joining in the fun during this episode are film historian James Colt Harrison and Diana Saenger from Classic Movie Guide.
